You know you've reached the pinnacle of madness, staring into the darkest abyss of insanity (which is a shade of peacock today, in case you were interested) when you begin quoting yourself:

This has little to do with this particular post, but I just thought I'd send my well-wishings on the hopefully imminent completion of your dissertation.
You can do iiiiit (a la Rob Schneider in Adam Sandler's "The Water Boy"...yes, I know, I'm loathed to quote Adam Sandler movies, but it's apropos methinks.)
